Pont-Saint-Esprit

Pont-Saint-Esprit, France

Situated in the Rhone Valley, Pont Saint Esprit, known as “Provenance’s Golden Gate”, has a rich past in a region where the patrimony and the beauty of the countryside amazes residents and visitors alike. The Community of the Beatitudes has been in Pont Saint Esprit since 1979, living in a monastery once belonging to the Visitadine Order, with it’s luminous cloister and verdant garden almost always under a blue sky.

The Community has two main apostolates :
– “Radio Ecclesia” the Catholic radio station for the Diocese of Nimes (Radio), has four transmitters in the departmental region of “Gard” and transmits 24/24hrs, with ten hours each day of ‘local product’. The principal studios are in the actual Monastery of the “Visitation”, with another production studio in the Diocesan Centre in Nimes.

– a Men’s Shelter, which provides emergency assistance, with accommodation and services to assist their reinsertion into general society, called the “F. A. R. Saint Vincent”. The F.A.R. is also one of the distribution points of the Foodbank for the Gard region.

The Community runs “Spiritual Days for Mothers” and our Liturgy is open to all with Feasts celebrated and other times of prayer, e.g Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Rosary, special times of Praise and Worship. Groups ( Equipes Notre Dame, Alpha groups) and others also come regularly for weekend retreats. Our House is a place of refreshment and renewal and is open to all for a spiritual ‘break’.

“Votre don sera reçu par la Fondation pour le Clergé, en faveur de la Communauté des Béatitudes et les données recueillies sur le formulaire de don serviront aux communications de la Communauté des Béatitudes et de la Fondation pour le Clergé.”
