Christian unity

Interceding for unity between Christians means first of all to be united to the very own intercession of Jesus, the unique Mediator. It means letting the Holy Spirit pray within us « for we do not know how to pray as we ought » (Rm 8,26)

Our fervant intercession that all Christians may attain to the fulness of unity is rooted in the words of Christ before his Passion :  « I have given them the Glory you gave me that they may be one, as we are One, I living in them, You living in me, that their unity may be complete, » (Jn 17, 22-23)

We pray for the scandal of the division within the very Body of Christ to cease, begging the Father to bring about dialogue where hearts have been hardened, to inspire the leaders of the Churches and their communities, giving to all a passion for Unity.

As we yearn for unity, our prayers and celebrations are particularly inspired by the spirituality of the Eastern Church and by the richness of its liturgy. We take it to heart to manifest the light from the Orient through the splendor of the icons in our chapels and the melodies of byzantine ins[piration in our songs.

Two lungs, one single breath :
toward one single communion in faith  between the East and the West
